So, appropriate for this forum, my big question going forward is if this election will change the needle at all with respect to housing production. A few half-baked predictions:
-Immigration crackdown hurts construction labor market and stuff gets more expensive to build.
-Couple the above with actual deportations and the Vance delusion of freeing up units for red-blooded Americans to buy at lower prices.
-Couple the above with tariffs that raise consumer prices in general so that those extra units won't be affordable, and/or in the wrong geographic locations.
-There won't be anyone intelligent or interested enough in the next administration to deal with the mortgage crackdown or other Federal level policies---negative or positive.
-My most reasonable take is that all significant reforms will be at the state level. If Blue states continue to be horses asses about regulation than they deserve to lose elections.

Sounds about right.
But do they call for a national holiday 10-year on all property zoning, from coast to coast?
That is the best plan.
Except in my neighborhood. We have a special situation here.
