This will be a follow-up to the August 2024 residential sales update, for subscribers. Given the unique perspective I am able to lay out for you, I thought it might be helpful to walk through my expectations for homebuilder market conditions with some simple supply and demand charts. I hope this sets up a simple framework for observing changes in the marketplace as we move forward.
If my analysis is an input you might be using for capital allocation decisions, maybe this will help. I debated making this a free post, because it might help to open up my perspective to inform some policy choices if I can continue to establish a strong record of prognostication, but I feel like there is value here that my subscribers deserve to keep to themselves.
